POSITION SUMMARY: The CI Engineer is responsible for identifying and leading execution of a wide range of CI projects using industry best practices in Lean and Six Sigma. Leads, facilitates, executes, and manages projects to reduce waste and variation through use of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Using their knowledge to influence and drive a culture of Continuous Improvement at all levels of the organization.


  • Lead and/or coordinate a wide variety of identified and approved initiatives and projects designed to improve time, flexibility, quality and value.
  • Leads facility kaizen and productivity projects ensuring projects are done according to budget and timeline
  • Hands on involvement to test out process concepts, and implementation of improvements.
  • Conduct studies in cost, quality, productivity, flow, value stream mapping and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct operational audits to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Specify best practices between locations and work to transfer such practices to each location.
  • Train employees as needed in all aspects of lean manufacturing, team effectiveness and implemented improvements.
  • Work successfully in a team environment, display a customer – focused approach, seeks continuous improvement in serving internal and external customers.
  • Performs other related duties as needed and assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of related business in technical and or manufacturing preferred.
  • Six sigma training (Green or Black belt)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management
  • Ability to influence and engage others to accomplish projects
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently as needed
