POSITION SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting FP&A and Corporate Accounting.  In addition, function supports the development and continuous improvement of standardized tools, and processes used to conduct proactive and insightful analysis of financial and operational performance of the business. Our goal is to provide Executive Management greater visibility and organizational focus, to support the achievement of BrassCraft’s long-term business objectives.  Partnering with Corporate and Operational Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and Operations, this function serves as the analytical engine of the company, and provides insights to support optimal business decision making. 

This role reports to the Supervisor, Financial Planning and Analysis.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual business plan preparation for assigned business
  • Analyze financial performance and present findings to manager
  • Identifies, leads, or participates in the implementation of process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Participates in designing and implementing financial processes, controls, and enabling systems which will be critical to the future growth of the business
  • Support general accounting through month-end close process as necessary
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor Science in Accounting
  • Entry level Accounting
  • Analytical skills in MS Excel experience in IF statements, VLOOKUP, Index and navigating through BI tools is a plus
  • Intermediate in Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Experience with JDE, Hyperion Financial Management and data mining
  • Familiarity with the plumbing industry and products
