Brasscraft Manufacturing Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality water and gas flow control products, plumbing service and repair parts, and drain cleaning and plumbing hand tools for the new construction and repair/remodel markets. This position will support operational excellence within company’s Thomasville, NC; manufacturing location, driving superior performance in: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, Inventory Management and Capital / Capacity Utilization. The position will coach and develop Operations talent, mentor project teams and ensure linkage of corporate objectives to manufacturing activities. Critical to this function are the planning and managing of budgets and coordination of facility initiatives. The position also ensures customer expectations are consistently met, delivery and quality targets are hit, and resources are utilized to provide a globally cost-competitive product. This position reports to the Director of Operations.


  • Directs the activities of the plant in Thomasville, NC
  • Develops and implements strategic and operational initiatives that support the company’s long range plan and annual objectives
  • Drives overall operational excellence through the application of Lean practices and processes
  • Builds capabilities, tools and processes to analyze and deliver globally cost competitive products, including evaluation of make vs. buy decisions
  • Deploys the culture of financial compliance and controls in alignment with the company’s overall requirements and principles
  • Evaluates key performance indicators and drive excellence in: Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Investment
  • Creates a strong operations talent base; partners with Human Resources to build talent management plans in support of long-range strategies and succession
  • Drives a culture focused on customers, people and teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation
  • Able to travel 20%+
  • Performs other duties as required


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical field, or a bachelor’s degree in conjunction with an accomplished career in similar manufacturing will be considered
  • Progressive operational and managerial experience in a manufacturing environment, with screw machine working process knowledge
  • Superior planning and analytical capabilities, and ability to appropriately summarize for executive management
  • An operational and financial understanding of the fundamentals in manufacturing, procurement, logistics and engineering
  • Experienced in implementing new processes and tools internally and with suppliers and customers
  • Management of performance metrics and accountability for results
  • Committed in developing and coaching employees
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite
