POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for all aspects of claim handling for files assigned to them and for working within the organization to mitigate potential risk throughout the company.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages incoming subrogation claims, including opening new claims in JDE, creating and maintaining physical claim files
  • Auditing claim file documentation
  • Assists in preparing confidential legal documents, reports and correspondence
  • Opens and processes incoming mail
  • Generates and distributes weekly and monthly reports
  • Performing month-end or quarter-end responsibilities
  • Able to assist with projects as assigned
  • Performs other related duties as needed and assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Working towards a professional degree (Bachelor's or Master's level) in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management
  • Intermediate computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite & JD Edwards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with the plumbing industry and products
  • Experience using Microsoft Access
